By now, you should have a clear idea of your thesis for your final project. In order to strengthen the argument, you need to consider a counterargument, which should be included in the final version of your project.
- What is your thesis statement as of now?
- What do you consider to be a strong or serious counter-argument to your thesis statement? Be specific. Give this two or three sentences at least.
- What are the reasons for the counter-argument’s strength? Is yours a counter-argument based on an exception to a rule, a fact about the world, a different ethical/theoretical approach, a contrast between views? Be specific. Give this two or three sentences at least.
- Last, of course, how do you keep your thesis and argument intact while responding to the counter-argument? Again, give it a couple of sentences.
